WHAT'S HUMMUS?

An alternative of eating junk food!

1) Hummus and vegetables

If you don't know what hummus is, it's a spread made of chickpeas and sesame seeds. It's been really popular lately and a healthier alternative to salsa or french onion dip. They have a ton of different flavors including garlic and roasted red peper. Personally, I love the original dip! Instead of munching on potato chips, try out hummus! Dip some celery, carrots, pepers, any veggies you love and trust me you'll fall in love with them. Not only can you use hummus as dip, but also you can incorporate them in sandwiches and wraps! Hummus is a great all around kitchen necessity and I highly recommend picking it up at any grocery store.

SUMMER FAVORITE!

As the sun is blazing hot and your sweat starts to drip down your forehead, summer has officially begun. Lately everyone's been raving about high waisted shorts. It used to be in style along time ago and it came back! I've been loving these type of shorts for the upcoming hot weather. Even many celebs have been sporting this style.I've recently bought a pair for $20 at of course Forever 21!It's an acid washed denim pair. I am in the search for a simple, affordable medium wash denim and denim black high waisted shorts, just those two basic pairs to wear with everything.

Simply wear it with crop tops and crop tanks and it's super cute. What I actually love about these type of shorts is how it tucks in your stomach. If you have a little tummy like I do, these shorts are perfect.

If you want to learn how to style them I recommend checking out youtube videos!

Also another idea is buying a pair of high waisted long jeans from a thrift shop and just cut them off! To spice up the shorts you can bleach them with coloring or even use fabric glue to paste decorative things on! Going to a thrift shop will save you a lot of bucks.

CHECK THEM OUT!

NEW PURCHASE! NAILS NAILS NAILS

Nails can be a huge hassle for me because of all the chipping and cutting. When one nail chips I have to erase everything because it looks ugly. Maybe it's just me but I like my nails to be perfect and it's pretty arduous to keep that up. Recently, my sister has been wearing these fake nails and when I first took a glimpse at them, I totally thought it was real. It looked very natural and didn't look glued on at all.
Therefore, I had to buy myself a pack. The fake nails are from Revlon. It's called the color allure pack. Revlon carries many different colors such as red, pink, brown, gold, and even french nails.
I've been wearing them for about two days now and my friends in school all complimented them. They all thought it was real until I told them. They couldn't believe that it was glued on.
Although sometimes the nails can come off when you use them for any strenuous activity, I think it's worth every penny. You can always just glue it back on, and it'll look like new.

TRYNA BE HEALTHY?

As the days get longer and the nights get shorter, summer is on its way.
To prepare for the humid, hot weather everyone's trying to eat healthier and start exercising.
We gotta do something to shed a few pounds as we reveal more skin and head out to the beach.
I have a better alternative to greasy potato chips and sugar filled sodas.

1) kale chips! I don't know if you've ever heard of these but they are spectacular. It's a healthier choice than gobbling up some lays chips.

Ingredients
KALE, OIL (OLIVE PREFERRED), SALT

Preheat the oven to 270 F. All you gotta do is wash the kale as clean as you can and then dry them off. Then cut them into small pieces and throw them on a baking sheet with some sprinkled salt. Toss the kale in the oven for about 20 minutes or so until they are as crispy as potato chips.

It may not look so appealing but trust me you'll want to eat them every day.

2) Fruit/veggie smoothies

I love an ice cold smoothie down my throat on those sunny days where I feel like I'm melting. If you like Jamba Juice you'll def. like this super easy recipe.

Grab any fruits you have in you're kitchen such as bananas, strawberries, kiwi, etc. Then take out some of your least favorite healthy veggies. You know what I'm talking about, those veggies that your parents always nag on you to eat either it be celery, spinach, kale... ANYTHING at all. If you have any greek yogurt take that out as well. Wash your blender and start to throw in the ingredients, honestly as much and as little as you want of each ingredient. Then take out the ice cube and throw them in. You always need a base for smoothies and in my opinion I love putting in soy milk. You can put in regular milk, coconut water, orange juice, etc. Then start blending away it's easy as that. No unnecessary sugar is needed! ALL NATURAL and ALL PURE HEALTHY AND JUST SIMPY AMAZING. This is a fantastic way to input your daily nutrients/vitamins in your diet. BTW i totally forgot this but trust me you won't be able to taste any of the grotesque veggies that you despise, all you'll taste are the scrumptious fruits you put in.

Mini Summer Clothing Haul! Feat. Forever 21 and H&M

Forever 21 is a great affordable clothing store for younger kids like me that can't afford clothes from J Crew, Nasty Gal, Club Monaco, etc. Maybe just maybe in rare occasions I can purchase garments from those extravagant pricey stores. However, for an everyday store F21 is amazing and is always on trend. I recently bought a couple items online and received my package today. I was super ecstatic when the fedex man walked up to my porch and rang the doorbell. I ran down my stairs with a huge smile on my face. Ripping my bag open I held up my first item which was.....
the Crisscross Back Swiss Dot Dress
I've been loving this style of dress for the summer lately and HAD to buy both colors- light peach and black
It has a sheer polkadot overlay on top of the dress, the back is criss cross and shows a surprise peakaboo of skin in the bottom of your back. And the price? ONLY $14.80! what a bargin

Next article of clothing I got was a bouncy, cotton skater skirt. I bought a navy blue color so I can wear it with anything. It was only $6.80 which IS SIMPLY amazing. It'll be perfect for the breezy summer days.

Last clothing item I got was this adorable muscle tee with "Holy Chic" on the front. I love the idea of how instead of Holy Shizz it says Holy Chic. I thought that was super clever and just had to have it. So next time instead of cursing say chic:)

Lastly I got one piece of jewelry! This long gold chain necklace with a big fat arrow at the bottom. I love how jewelry can just spice up your outfit and change it up.

I totally forgot these adorbs lace sneakers I got from H&M! I recently bought these cute sneakers after eyeing them forever since I've seen MacBarbie07 from Youtube wearing them. It's perf for just throwing on to make any outfit alittle casual but formal at the same time! I'm in love with them! However, if you're going to be walking alot don't wear these! It can hurt your feet because of the thin layer on the bottom so I've been thinking of buying insoles to make it alittle bit more comfortable. But except that I LOVE THESE!

Everyday makeup routine!

It's been four long years of High School and it's finally coming to an end. Hearing that loud buzzing alarm every day, contemplating with myself if I should get up or not... wasting even more time. Always arriving late to my classroom...Every second counts in the morning. But, after a while you get the hang of it. Getting ready in just ten minutes? Easy. After a lot of practice it can be done in a blink of an eye.
Simple is the way to go.My routine consists of

1. ALWAYS and ALWAYS my face lotion, I use Aveeno's Daily Moisturizing Lotion. It's perfect for dry skin! I've been religiously using this for five years.

2. Ofcourse FOUNDATION or BB cream! I'm in love with my Mac Matchmaster Foundation. I just slap on one pump of it and use my hands for easy and quick application. Another perk is it has SPF 15! I'm looking out for a great BB cream for the summer, so I'll tell you guys when I find anything!

3) My new favorite eye shadow palette... NAKED BASICS! I adore all the amazing quality matte shadows. I love the natural, neutral colors. It's fantastic for an everyday look. All i do is sweep walk of shame all over the lids, then blend faint all through the crease. For highlight i use venus, the only shimmery color.

4) Eyeliner is key to define your eyes. I think this is the only time consuming part but, if you keep doing it you'll be able to do it in your sleep. I've been using Kat Von D's tattoo liquid eyeliner the past two weeks and I'm simply amazed. I just wing it out just a bit and there.. perfect. It does not smudge or get crusty whatsoever. Especially for my asian monolids it's arduous to really search for a great eyeliner but this pen like liner is the best. NO SMUDGE NO CRUST EYELINER! I adore it.

5) Next, I use my black pencil eyeliner from Charlotte Ronson and quickly glide it on my waterline. This part is unnecessary however, I love to do it because it just defines the eyes a bit more. Whenever I do this I feel like it completes the look.

6) Then I curl my lashes and put on my waterproof falsies mascara from Maybelline. I heard from youtube that Maybelline has the best mascaras and tried out falsies which I think is stunning. It really thickens the lashes and makes them look like you have false lashes extending your lashes twice the size.

7) I use my foundation again and lightly tap it on my under eyes using my ring finger. No concealer needed, just double up on your foundation.

8) Time to set it all by using my powder from Diorskin Forever Compact Flawless Perfection Fusion Wear. It has SPF 25 which is always a plus. I fluff the product all over my face to make sure that the foundation stays on as long as possible.

9) Finally, blush to make sure i still have some life in my face. I've been using my Maybelline bouncy blush in in pink frosting. Just a nice flush on pink on the apples of my cheeks gives a cute flirty vibe. A lot of people say that this blush was not that pigmented but I like the amount of color that came off.

THERE FINALLY my daily routine is finished. Although there are nine steps, it goes by quick and ten minutes is just enough to finish. Hopefully this helped you tweak your everyday routine for school so you can run out the door without rushing!
