Mini Beauty Haul!:) Ft. NYX & Calvin Klein
Hey guys! I wanted to share with you guys, all the new beauty items I received! This will be a review and a haul!
The first item is this NYX Box of Smokey look collection that is only $22! My cousin gave it to me because she wasn't using it anymore and I am so happy she passed it down to me! This all in one product is so convenient!
There are products for eyes all the way down to the lips!
When you first open the box, there are tons of eyeshadow shades! This box is all about how to achieve the perfect smokey look, therefore there are a lot of dark, sultry shades! The first column is the classic smokey, the second is the purple smokey, the third is the bronze smokey, and last but not least is the natural smokey! These shades are super pigmented! You can even use this palette for an everyday look! I also love how the eyeshadows vary from matte to shimmer!
When you open up the middle, the face products are available. There are two bronzers, one highlighter, and the other three are all blushes! Yet again, these are amazingly pigmented! Just a little dab of the product on your brush will go A LONG WAY!
When you slide out the bottom, the different lips colors are brought out! I tried using them with my fingers, however it was very sheer! I think you can build up the color, but it's best if you use a lip brush!
Next to the lip shades, there are some glittery products! I think this would be PERFECT for the upcoming holidays! I will probably purchase an adhesive to pack on these gorgeous glittery chunks of goodness. I am so stoked to use them in the holidays! AH!!!!:)
Okay, next up the last column is concealers! I honestly didn't even know that was there until today! There is a green and purple shade to counteract the redness of a blemish and the last two are creamy concealers!
If you're just starting to dabble on make-up definitely grab this product! I TOTALLY recommend this box!
The next three products are Calvin Klein's eyeshadows! They all remind me of the Christmas season! All so glittery and sparkley, wearing them on New Year's Eve and Christmas would be perfect!
The first shade is called 810 fearless! The eyeshadow was a lot darker than expected! When I swatched it, it came out to be an almost black color with just gold specks. However, it is such a glamorous color and all these products are crazy pigmented!
The next shade is in 500 jaded! It's a dazzling gold color that can be worn all over the lids!
The last color is 200 obsessed, which is a stunning sultry, purple color! All these colors are easily buildable! By the way, they are $15 a piece!
Thanks for reading! LOVE YOU GUYS!

Tips on Finding Your Ideal Foundation
Here's another article I wrote for my magazine club!
Tips on Finding Your
Ideal Foundation
The warm summer has gone and the breezy autumn has begun.
It’s finally time to purchase a new foundation! Throughout the different
seasons, your foundation shade changes. You sport a darker color in the summer
and a lighter color in the winter. Here are some tips for choosing the perfect
foundation!
Foundation is the
base of all your make-up adventures. Finding the right foundation will make
your skin look flawless. Everyone has different types of skin…whether it is
dry, oily, or combination! First, make sure you know your skin before buying
foundation.
Dry skin
If you have dry skin, try shopping for a liquid or a cream
foundation rather than a powder one. Powder foundation will just accentuate
your dry patches. Look out for words like “hydrating” or “moisture-rich”. Check
out Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup ($12.49).
Tip: always put on face lotion before applying your make-up.
Oily skin
If you have oily skin, go for a powder or oil-free liquid
foundation. Watch out for words like “oil-free” or “matte”. Powders absorb the oil in your face, leaving
it nice and matte. Try L’oreal’s True Match Super Blendable Make-up ($10.95)!
It’s oil-free and provides over 30 shades!
Combination skin
If you have combination skin, a cream or a powder foundation
is best for you because it’s not too oily or very dry. However, you can also
try liquid foundations that are specifically for combination skin like Revlon’s
ColorStay Foundation in Combination/Oily skin ($10)
Tip: Throughout the day, powder down your oily areas or use
oil-blotting sheets!
Choosing your foundation color
Tip: To find the right shade of foundation, swipe some on
your jawline. If the color blends into your skin perfectly, then you found a winner.
When you’re at a higher end make-up store such as Sephora or
Mac Cosmetics, it’ll be easier for you to find your foundation shade. Not only
are there makeup artists that guide you, but also there are samples of the
make-up products where you’re able to swatch on your face.
When you’re at a drugstore, it’s arduous to pick the perfect
color. The foundations are already packaged with no products you can try out on
the spot. Make sure you know your skin tone, whether it is pale, medium, or
dark. Once you know your color range, use it as a guide. Try matching the shade
on the packaging with your jawline. Select your best fit!
I recommend going to a store like Sephora and asking one of
the makeup artists to help you get your shade. Then take a sample of it to the
drugstore and match it up with what you want to buy. There’s actually a new
Color IQ service at Sephora, where it gives you your Color IQ for foundation.
It’s able to provide foundation matches from over 1,500 formulas! If you’re
struggling in achieving the perfect shade, just walk into Sephora and ask to
get your Color IQ! It’s as easy as that!
Tip: When applying foundation, make sure you bring the
product down to your neck!

Make-up Bag Essentials!
Hey guys! This article I wrote is written for my magazine club in school. I just wanted to share it with all of you, since you guys won't be able to read it unless you go to my school! SOOOO HERE IT IS:)
By the end of the day, you look way different from when you
left your house. You’re make-up and you’re hair may be a mess after a long day
of classes. However, if you carry the right essentials to school, you can still
look and feel amazing. Here is a list of beauty items that you NEED to bring to
school!
1) Mirror
Sometimes your lipstick can get on your teeth or your hair
may be sticking out, you need a mirror to check everything! You can definitely
purchase a cute cheap travel size mirror from Forever 21 or Sephora!
2) Lotion
Especially since the weather is getting colder, you’re face
tends to get more dry. Dry skin is the worst. Your make-up can look blotchy and
it just doesn’t look great. Carrying around lotion for your hands and your face
can be a lifesaver. Pick up a $1 travel size lotion like the amazing Aveeno’s
daily moisturizer at your local drugstore!
3) Concealer
As your taking notes in class, you feel a new bump on your
forehead…. You whip out that mirror you have and there you see a fresh red
pimple glaring at you. Uh-oh… But, don’t you pout because you brought your
handy concealer to cover that sucker up. Concealers can help you cover up any
blemish. Try buying one with an easy applicator like the Maybelline FIT me concealer!
4) Lip Balm
Lip Balms are a necessity anywhere you go. Your lips need to
be hydrated. Your worst nightmare is when they become super dry that they start
peeling. You won’t be able to rock your favorite lipstick with those chapped
lips. Grab the classic Burt’s Bees chap stick in mint for about $3.50 at the
drugstore!
5) Bobby pins & hair ties
At some point of the day, you will need either a bobby pin
or hair tie. When you’re studying or taking a test, you’re hair can get in the
way. Throwing it up in a bun or just pinning your bangs up will help you
concentrate more. Get your hands on the ribbon hair ties from Forever 21,
H&M, Sephora, or any drugstore! They don’t leave a dent in your hair and
they are way cuter than regular hair elastics.
6) Hand Sanitizer
This item isn’t really a beauty item, but you can throw this
in your make-up bag. Especially since we all live in the New York City, you
need to carry this around. Touching dirty escalators, doors, tables, and who
knows what....a hand sanitizer is a must. If you want some fun scented
sanitizers, go to Bath & Body Works! They have awesome fall scents
including Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin and Pumpkin Cupcake for only $1.75.

October Glam Bag!
I am loving every item in the October Glam Bag! I love how there was such a variety of products, from hair to nails.
The month's bag is called the Art of Beauty!
First item is the Coastal Scents medium shadow brush! I've always wanted to try the brand, Coastal Scents, because I heard so many good things about it! It's so soft and amazing for blending out my eyeshadow! I definitely recommend this eyeshadow brush! The quality is super nice and it does not shed! This products gets a two thumbs up!
The next item is the Starlooks lip pencil in Tipsy! I was so stoked when I saw that this was in my bag because many yt beauty gurus talk about this product in their videos. It's a bright almost neon pink color. ! I have the Starlooks eye pencil in Obsidian and I love that, so I expected the lip pencil to be great as well! It's nice and creamy. I usually apply the liner around the lips and then fill them in with a pink/nude lipstick, then blend them together and it creates such a beautiful color! Loving this lip liner!
The next product is the Zoya nailpolish in Giovanna! I haven't worn the nail polish just yet, but my sister tried it and she loved the color! Although, when it was time to erase the nail varnish off it wouldn't come off. It was very difficult to erase everything and made her nail area green! Yuck!
Next up, the bella terra mineral cosmetics! This eye product is in the color navy and I absolutely love it! The color is super pigmented! Just a little bit will go a longggggg way! Definitely try out this lovely product!
The Sexy Hair Spray Clay is not what you may think it is. At first, I assumed "clay" represented a thick, chunky consistency. However, it was the total opposite. It sprayed out like regular hair spray! The spray clay tames all my fly aways without it looking thick and gross. It has a nice, fresh lemony scent! Love it!
